Our matcha is genuine green tea of Nishio. Nishio is located in the central of Aichi prefecture, Japan. Its matcha is blessed with clean water, rich soil and river fog and it is also home of matcha which accounts for about 30% of Japanese production. Nishio is one of Japan's most famous areas for the production of matcha. The history of Nishio's matcha is as old as 1271. "The green tea of Nishio" is recognized by the Patent Office's regional brand whose high quality continues to be maintained by the tradition and technology of the longtime producer.

 

In the factory producing matcha have acquired the certification of FSSC22000, which is the international standard for food safety management systems.In addition, it has been audited by the AIB Food Safety (GMP) Guidance and Audit System and has been rated “Superior”, the highest rank.In organically grown tea gardens, cultivation is carried out without the use of chemically-processed fertilizers and drugs, without the use of genetically modified technology.
In addition, we have acquired the organic JAS certification (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan registration certification body OCIA Japan), and have also obtained the NOP (National Organic Program) certification.
